Who’s kingdom are we talking about?

My last two posts showed that Jesus never spoke the words “end of the world.” Also the author of Hebrews declared that Christ would “appear the second time.” This unique appearance of Christ has been so misunderstood that believers are still waiting for the “second coming” of Christ.

Where is Jesus going to establish the “kingdom of God.” Will it be in in Jerusalem, Rome, Mecca, or Washington? When? Now or in the future?

Jesus said “My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight.” John 18:36.

But the self-appointed “servants” of Jesus, throughout history, tried to establish the Kingdom. It would be established by fighting to take control of Caesar, thereby controlling everyone.

But, Jesus clearly states, “Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” Mark 12:17, Matt 22:21, Luke 20:25.

So, these non-believing “believers” banded together with power hungry politicians to gain dominion over a country for Jesus – or was it for themselves? Their kingdom is not inclusive or generous. Their way of life is power, privilege, and pelf. They are willfully ignoring where Jesus states his kingdom resides.

Some are secretive with their cunning agenda to install a permanent exclusive earthly kingdom. This is madness. Note: some other world religions are also engaged in establishing their own religious kingdoms.

If not earth, where did Jesus say the kingdom is?

Jesus declared, “behold, the kingdom of God is within you.” Luke 17:21. How can this “kingdom” fit “within you?” We need to explore the real meaning of “kingdom?”

Most of this confusion can be cleared up by looking at the word “kingdom,” which is translated from the Greek word Βασιλεία. There are two meanings. The first is what people usually think of: (1) a territory subject to the rule of a king; (2) the authority, royal power, to rule over a kingdom; not to be confused with an actual territory.

Now number (2) definition makes sense for the “kingdom of God is within you.”

It is divine “royal power” that is “within you,” your real identity as a divine soul.

When will this kingdom be established? In five of the many times “the kingdom of heaven” and the “kingdom of God” is mentioned, there is also the phrase “at hand.” Example: “The kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Matthew 10:7.

So the when is right now. This royal power is available to a sincere seeker who receives the training, guidance, and blessings of a spiritual Yoga Master like Jesus, Yogananda, Sadhguru, Yogiraj, etc. Jesus and Yogananda are still available, other Yoga Masters are living in the world today.

So, are you aware of where and when these different kingdoms operate?

As Sadhguru said, “If someone is hungry, are you going to talk to them about salvation or enlightenment, that would be cruel.”

Let’s come together to support one another as communities and countries.
